What to do
Validate locally, then use the equation to decide who to check in with first.
After local validation, the equation could identify six months ahead which staff will likely report elevated stress or low intention to remain, while there is still time to offer support.
What the equation uses
- Eleven intake predictors: baseline stress, burnout, anxiety, depressive symptoms, job satisfaction, hope, reappraisal beliefs, and demographics.
- For elevated stress, baseline stress and younger age carried the largest standardized coefficients.
- For low intention to remain, lower job satisfaction carried the largest.
- Discrimination on the test partition: AUC .72 for elevated stress and .70 for low intention to remain.
